The rehearsals in April and May will focus on music interpretation and preparation for next season. Interpretation lessons will utilize musical examples, discussion, and participation and will focus on:

  • historical background and context

  • composer's intent

  • performance practice and style

  • technique and expression

  • layers of meaning

  • emotional content

  • creativity and artistry
