Katherine
Swierczewska-Roselli
began playing the violin at age 6
while living in her native Poland. She moved to the United States when she was 16
and played in orchestras in high school and college, studied
international business, earned her MBA, and then worked on Wall
Street. But after the events of September 11, 2001, she decided that
life was too short and that she should be doing something she loves to
do and share her passion for music with children.
Today Katherine teaches
stringed instruments at Toms River Intermediate North. She
has played with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra and the Garden State Philharmonic.
Katherine also teaches a large private studio. Her work as conductor of
the String Ensemble of the Garden State Philharmonic Youth Orchestras
was featured in the Asbury Park Press.
