Established in 1977, the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra (NJSYO) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and a New Jersey registered charity. The NJSYO is operated by volunteers for the purpose of providing musical education to our youth and classical musical performances to our community. During the course of its 40+ year history, the NJSYO has contributed to the musical education and careers of thousands of young people. Currently, there are more than 100 students grouped into three orchestras by age and ability. NJSYO also offers chamber music groups to provide young musicians the opportunity to learn more repertoire and perform in smaller venues, and summer music camps for all levels of musicianship.
